Goodwill of Western New York shoppers make a real difference for local veterans by rounding up their purchases at the register. Proceeds from the Veterans Roundup Program fund essential services to help veterans find and maintain employment. Thanks to their generosity, Goodwill donated an additional $5,000 in gift cards to support veterans transitioning into new homes through the local Veteran support organization, WNY Heroes.
The donation will benefit several WNYHeroes programs, including Heroes’ Bridge, which offers eligible veterans and their families four months of rent, mortgage, and utility assistance. The Goodwill gift cards will help recipients purchase household items and textiles from local Goodwill stores as they settle into their new homes.
