Venture Forthe is a local, family owned licensed home care services agency that has been helping people meet their goals of living independently since 1997. For over 20 years, Venture Forthe has been committed to superior care for clients. Positive interactions and interventions are promoted to help clients achieve goals that they find important. They are proud of the fact that they have helped their clients obtain higher education degrees, grow relationships with family members and regain the ability to be fully independent in the community.
Venture Forthe offers a comprehensive set of health and supportive services that provide a safe environment, allowing people to live a more independent life. One of the many services that Venture Forthe offers is personalized home care services. When clients need extra assistance to remain independent in their homes, or wish to return home after a nursing home or hospital stay, they can take comfort in knowing that Venture Forthe is there for them. Personal care aides help individuals remain in their homes by helping with activities of daily living including meal preparation, medication reminders, shopping and transportation, bathing & toileting, light housekeeping, companionship and more. Whether a client needs a few hours of care per week or round-the-clock assistance, they create a personalized care plan based on the client's unique needs. Venture Forthe is growing, and they need people who share their passion and enthusiasm for creating the best experience for all of their clients. When they were looking to add to their highly-trained compassionate staff they turned to Goodwill, and a new partnership began. Goodwill clients who had “a desire to help others” and an interest in pursuing a direct care position in this in-demand field receive paid onsite training at Goodwill’s agency headquarters. After an initial screening process, students receive classroom instruction as well as hands-on training from registered nurses who specialize in home care. Upon successful completion of the training, Venture Forthe staff members conduct employment interviews at Goodwill, placing candidates into personal care aide positions which are often stepping stones to other health care careers.
