An easy way to raise money for your school, team, or organization through a donation drive supporting your community and helping the enviornment.
Partner with Goodwill of Western New York to make a difference in your community while raising funds for your organization. Through our Goodwill Gives Donation Drive Program, you can collect gently used items from your supporters and turn them into financial resources for your school, team, or non-profit organization. It’s simple, impactful, and a great way to engage your community with local donations for local causes.
How it Works
STEP 1: Complete a Goodwill Gives Donation Drive Interest Form
Our team will help ensure your drive is success by providing marketing materials, donation bins, and schedule a date to receive donated items. You must be a school or registered non-profit organization to participate. There are fees to participate.
STEP 2: Organize Your Donation Drive
Select a convenient date and location where community members and your supporters can bring their gently used items. Encourage your supporters to donate clothes, household goods, small electronics, and more through emails, social media, and flyers.
STEP 3: Collect Donations
Recruit your volunteers and collect donations in a single day, a weekend, or over an entire month. Based on availability, we can also provide a Mobile Donation Units to help collecting donations even easier. Goodwill will provide lists of accepted and not accepted items.
STEP 4: Donate to Goodwill
Once the items are collected, your team can drop them off at a local Goodwill Store at a predtermined time or you can schedule a pickup with our Donation Team.
Step 5: Get Paid
For every item donated, your organization earns money based on the total weight at
20 cents per pound. The more you collect, the more you raise!
